I needed a small lightweight tripod to use with my iPhone. Since I have the GorillaPod 5K for my DSLR, I decided to get the GorillaPod 1K with Ballhead Kit. What I like about the GorillaPod is that it can be used in several different scenarios. It can wrap around objects, the rubberized foot grips can stabilize on virtually any surface, and any device with a standard 1/4”-20 tripod thread can be mounted on it such as Lume Cubes. With a weight of 5.1 oz and height of 8.3”, it’s small and lightweight which makes it easy to carry around. I have the GripTight Pro 2 Mount to use my phone with it and the GoriilaPod Arm Kit for mounting my lights.
This is a great tripod to use with my iPhone. Now that I have this tripod, it opens up the possibilities for me to create stunning long-exposures, time-lapses, videos and more.
