Times are tough right now as most of us can’t go out. But just because you can’t go out, doesn’t mean you have to stop being creative with photography. Here’s my three ways to stay creative while being inside.
- Find a project online. There are numerous groups online that offer different themes for you to shoot such as macro, abstract and food. Some last a day others for a week. Having a goal makes it easier to keep being creative.
- If you have kids, get them involved in some photo projects. Have your kids help you set up little scenes to shoot. Use their toys and let yours and their imagination run wild. If you don’t have kids, that’s ok- you can still do this one. Pick up little things that you have around the house like post-it notes, jewerly, cleaning brushes and just start shooting away- try doing macro photos of them or creating abstracts.
- Step into the unknown. We all have comfort zones in photography. Mine are flowers and butterflies. But what if you were to try a new subject like self-portraits or black and white photography. You never know where it may lead to.
