In service of one of my core beliefs for life, which is “when you create, you feel alive” here are five recommendations that I cannot help but offer this week in the midst of this chaos:
1. Watch the news, but not be the news- (don’t watch it very much.)
2. You know that creative hobby you like to do? Do it! For me it’s photography. Check out mine on this site!
3. Be grateful for what you have moment to moment throughout the day.
4. Be patient and compassionate with each other
5. As a cancer survivor, I’ve been fortunate to have a second chance to enjoy what’s around me. I am making the most of every single day- whether it’s making memories with my family and friends, going for a walk, or taking photos. I like to look at this as if I am looking through the viewfinder on my camera. When I look through the viewfinder, it makes me pause and look around and I see things that sometimes may be missed. And I don’t want to miss the beauty that’s around me. With all the time we have at home now, take the time to enjoy what’s around you. Take out your camera and press the shutter button to take those special photos or better yet, record those moments. Life is beautiful. Enjoy it. Go create, because “when you create, you feel alive.”
